The Luckiest Ball on Earth Qualifier At Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club Friday September 2nd 2016

Luckiest Ball on Earth Winner 2016 - RogerEvery amateurs dream in golf is to play with the professionals. On Friday 2nd September our members chased that dream once again and the competition was one worthy of a tour event. 30 plus members competed for the chance to gain that much sought after spot to go to the Grand Final which will take place on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Sunday 23rd October.

Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club had a battle to remember with 7 players in the mix after 9 holes and the final winner had just a better back nine to help him claim victory. This is the fine margins that professional golfers go through every week but there had to be only one lucky player. The man on top at the end of the day was Roger Ledeboer, good friends with last year’s qualifier Roy Homes, with 73 net. Not many golfers could win with three double bogeys but this did not stop Roy. The Sharjah golfer carded four birdies in his 18 holes.

We wish Roger all the best in the Grand Final and hopeful he can chase the dream one more time to grab the place to play with the professionals in November.
