Emirates Golf Federation Hosts Order of Merit Championship at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club
(Ajman, UAE) – On April 25-27, 2025, the Emirates Golf Federation hosted the 2024-2025 Order of Merit Championship and Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club. More than 60 amateur golfers competed in four divisions to determine the best golfers in the United Arab Emirates.
The 2024 – 2025 Order of Merit Winners at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club
It was a record-breaking season for UAE golf as the clubs in collaboration with the EGF hosted over 30 order of merit events. 11 of these events were listed as World Amateur Golf Rankings competetion, which included events with the Faldo Series, Robert Rock Junior Invitational, and the Tommy Fleetwood AJGA International Series presented by DP World.
Through these events, the EGF created qualifications and invites which gave six players the opportunity to compete on the Hotel Planner Tour and 18 players to compete on the Clutch Tour. In addition, the EGF introduced 11 Mixed Gender Championships, allowing males and females to compete on the same golf course.
The winners of the EGF Order of Merit season will receive an invite to the Clutch Tour Grand Final in October at Al Hamra Golf Club. At the award ceremony, the EGF handed out 18 awards, crowning the top players from this weekend’s Championship and the overall 2024-25 Order of Merit Season.
In the Junior Girls B Division, Aarya Ganguly finished as Runner-Up, and Marie Isabel Altdorf finished in First Place for the Championship. I the Boys Junior B Division, Eugenio Galeppini was the Second Place finisher, while Madhav Manoj was the Winner of the Championship, shooting two-under-par. For the Junior Girls A Division, Paris Nil Calik finished as the Runner-Up, and Imogen Hall was the Champion for the event. Keiran Gouri was the Runner-Up in the Junior Boys A Division, and Alexander Rushika shot five-under to win the division.
For the three-day WAGR qualifying event in the Ladies Division, Sana Tufail was the Runner-Up, and Anca Mateiu was the Championship firing one-under-par for the tournament. In the Men’s Division, Sam Mullane was the Runner-Up and Jonathan Selvaraj was the Men’s Championship, shooting an impressive nine-under-par for the event.
In addition to the Championship, double points were up for grabs for the overall season Order of Merit. Final overall season scores were determined based on the average of players’ top four results, including the Order of Merit Championship.
The overall season winner for the Girls B Division was Leia Maccallum playing out of The Mongomeri Dubai with 416 points. In the Boys B Division, Pranit Mandge from Jumeirah Golf Estates was the season winner with 379 points. For the Girls A Division, Imogen Hall from The Els Club was the overall winner with 453 points, while Alexander Rushika won the Boys A Division from Jumeirah Golf Estates with 453 points.
The overall winner for the EGF Order of Merit season in the Men’s Division was Sam Mullane with 510 points, and Sana Tufail won the overall Ladies Division with 470 points.
