Rayan Ahmed & Abdulla Kalbat Set for 2024 AAC in Japan
(Shizuoka, Japan) – On October 3-6, 2024 Rayan Ahmed and Abdulla Kalbat will be representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at this year’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC) in Japan. Hosted at the Taheyp Club Gotemba Japan at the foot of Mount Fuji this week will be a special week for all participants.
Coming off capturing the Individual Silver at last weekend’s 2024 Pan Arab Youth Golf championship in the 18 & Under Division Rayan Ahmed will look to continue his solid play.
Abdulla Kalbat will also represent the UAE. After a strong summer of training and competition, this will be the first time that both players will compete in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.
The Gotemba Course at the Taheyp is rated Japan’s number one golf course. The golf course has hosted several professional and amateur championships. A Shunsuke Kato-designed golf course the Par 72, 7,246 yards mountain side track is going to be a test for the best amateur golfers affiliated to the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation.
The winner of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship will receive invites to play in both 2025 editions of The Masters and The Open 2025 as well as the British Amateur.
