Young Kalbats, Al Haj, and Al Naqbi Combine for Impressive Team Win at the December National Monthly Match

(Sharjah, UAE) – On Saturday, 16th of December, Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club played host to the December 2023 EGF Monthly Match supported by eGolf Megastore. With a fun Team 4 Ball Alliance format, this event aimed to develop and support Future Falcon players, providing the young talent to play alongside National Team Members. Winning the December Match was the young team made up of siblings Fatma and Abdulla Kaldat with Mahdi Al Haj and Rashed Al Naqbi.

This year, the EGF Monthly Matches are taking a new direction by varying the format each time. This approach ensures that all players have the opportunity to play with different people in different formats, always with the goal of having fun and competing together.

In the second Monthly Match of the 2023-24 season, the winning team of Fatma and Abdulla Kaldat, Mahdi Al Haj, and Rashed Al Naqbi had an impressive 91 points. Abdulla Kaldat who is currently on the UAE National Junior Golf Team had this to say following the event, “it was fun to play with my sister and be on the same team, we look forward to doing that more in the future”.

Next on the podium, finishing in Second Place were the team of Mohammed Thabet, Emile Gonzalvez, Thomas Nesbitt, and Marwan Al Emadi with 86 points. Ihaab Tarmoom, Ahmed Al Blooshi, Omar Al Shamsi, and Jonathan Selvaraj finished in Third Place with 85 points.

During the Match, the EGF also offered some “On Course Competitions”. The Nearest to the Pin prize for the ladies was Aasiya Saleem and Jonathan Selvaraj for the men. Winning the Longest Drive for the men was won by Rashed Al Emadi and Intissar Rich won the Ladies Longest Drive award.

At the prize giving for the Monthly Match, Emirates Golf Federation Vice-Chairman General Abdulla Alhashmi acknowledged the medalist from the 2023 Ladies and Junior Pan Arab Golf Championship which was hosted in Saudi on November 28-30.
