UAE Ladies and Juniors National Teams Ready for the 2023 Pan Arab Golf Championship

(Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) – On November 28-30, 2023, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ladies and Junior National Golf Teams will travel to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Pan Arab Golf Championship. There are 13 countries from Arab nations and 103 players participating in these championships. Five different national golf teams will be representing the UAE during the championships which will take place at Riyadh Golf Club.

UAE Ladies and Junior Teams at the 2023 Pan Arab Championships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Hosted by the Arab Golf Federation the Ladies and Junior Pan Arab Golf Championship will feature five different divisions. 13 different countries will have team and/or individual players in the Ladies and Girls 15 & Under for the women’s divisions, and Boys 13 & Under, Boys 15 & Under, and Boys 18 & Under for the male divisions.

Playing for the UAE Ladies National Team in the 13th edition of the Pan Arab Ladies Championship will be Intissar Rich, Alia Alemadi, and Jamie Camero.

For the Ladies 15 & Under Team, Maya Gaudin, Sara Ali, and Aasiya Saleem will be playing in the 2nd Pan Arab Championships for the 15 & Under Ladies division.

2023 will mark the 22nd  year of Boys 18 & Under and 15 & Under Championships, while this being the 2nd year for the Boys 13 & Under Championship.  

The Boys 18 & Under Team will consist of Mohammad Skaik, Rashed Al Jassemy, and Rayan Ahmed. Playing for the Boys 15 & Under Team will be of Abdullah Salem, Mohammed Thabet, and Marwan Alemadi.

Finally, I played in the Individual Category and represented the UAE in the Boys 13 & Under Division with Abdullah Darwish.

The 13 & Under Division will be played over two rounds but the other divisions will be played over three rounds. The championship will have Team and Individual winners in each division. For the Team Category, the final score will consist of the top two gross scores, out of three players each round, totaled after all rounds are complete. The Individual Category will be scored as the best individual gross score from each division.

Traveling with the teams are EGF Director General, Akram Skaik, and National Team Coaches Faycal Serghini, Samir Walline, and April Varney. Vice Chairmen General Abdulla Alhashmi will be joining the team for the opening ceremony and the Arab Golf Federation annual meetings.

“This is a good opportunity for EGF and UAE golf to show the improvements of our programs. The EGF has been working hard over the past 18 months to give UAE players the chance to showcase their talents. These girls and boys have been training hard and we are expecting some good results, said EGF Vice Chairman, General Abdualla Alhashmi.
