UAE National Ladies and Junior Golf Teams Head to Morocco for the 2018 Pan Arab Golf Championship

(Marrakesh, Morocco) – November 14th – 16th, 2018 the United Arab Emirates National Ladies, 18 & Under, and 15 & Under Golf Teams will travel to Morocco to play in the 2018 Ladies and Junior Pan Arab Golf Championship. The three-day championship will take place at The Palmeraie of Marrakesh Golf Course.

UAE National Ladies and Junior Golf Teams Training at ETPI – Jumeirah Golf Estates

This event will be the 19th edition of the Junior Pan Arab Golf Championship and the 10th edition of Ladies Pan Arab Golf Championship that falls under the Arab Golf Federation. With over 10 countries and 3 divisions, the championship will host more than 60 players.

Robert Trent Jones designs The Palmeraie of Marrakesh Golf Course. Sprawling over 120 hectares and featuring 11 lakes, this 27-hole golf club hosts some of the largest professional tournaments.

For the UAE Ladies Team, Reema Al Heloo will be leading the way with the support of Alia Al Emadi and longtime veteran Dr. Rabab Al Haj. Reema is coming off a busy summer after traveling to Indonesia for the 2018 Asian Games and to Argentina for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.

Representing the 18 & Under UAE National Golf Team will be Mohammed Adel Al Hajeri, Rashid Al Qubaisi, and Rashid Al Emadi. Looking to make an impact for the UAE will be Al Hajeri after his summer tour at the 2018 Asian Games and the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. Al Hajeri also played on the UAE Men’s Team at the 38th Pan Arab Golf Championship where UAE finished in fourth place.

For the 15 & Under Golf Team Obaid Al Heloo will be making his third Pan Arab Golf Championship appearance. Along with Obaid will be some new faces, as Majad Lootha and Rayyaan AlMaazmi will be competing in their first international tournament.

Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Emirates Golf Federation had this to say about the upcoming event. “This tournament will be a great test for our young golfers. With our newly structured 15 & Under team making some first-time appearances we hope that this will continue to build our program. Our players have been working hard for the past 6 months and many of them have been competing just to be on the teams to represent the UAE”.

The three-day championship will have Team and Individual winners in each division. For the Team Category, the final score will consist of the top two gross scores, out of three players each round, totaled after three rounds. The Individual Category will be scored as the best individual gross score from each division.
