Yas Links Summer Open 2016
(Abu Dhabi, UAE) – To mark the end of the Summer season the Yas Links Summer open was held on Friday 16th September allowing guests and members alike to battle it out for the title on the Links. Despite the hot and humid weather there was some fantastic scoring from those playing in the event.
1st Place Winner – Sehal Ameri
We had over 80 participants in total which allowed for a fun and diverse round. Just as equally mixed was our days top contenders of members and guests on the Yas Links leaderboard. Second place winner from last year, Saleh Al Ameri went one better in 2016, gaining victory and 1st place in Category A (handicap 0-14). He finished his round with an incredible 45 points. New Yas Links member John Newton finished close behind clinching second place with an impressive 42 points.
Craig Hanson conquered category B (Handicap 15-36) with a fantastic 44 points while just as last year Teresa Sheepwash finished close behind in second place with an excellent 40 points.

Ladies Nearest to the Pin (Hole 13): Li Ping
Ladies Longest Drive (Hole 2): Hamda Al Suwaidi
Men’s Longest Drive (Hole 12): Afi Taylor
Men’s Nearest to the Pin (Hole 8): Mark Jefferson
