YD KIM CLAIMS FIRST ORIENT TRAVEL OF NEW YEAR
(Sharjah, UAE) – The 3rd Orient Travel – Malaysia Truly Asia Monthly Medal show cased the super skills of the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club members, especially long time Korean member YD Kim as he claimed the first title of 2016. YD took the spoils in the Medal’s last year with many good score to secure his place on the golfing trip at the end of the season in Malayasia.

The front nine on Friday looked bright from the start as YD started with two birdies on the first and second holes but a triple bogey on the ninth spoiled his chances for a prefect nine holes. The back nine saw a further two more birdies on the par fives 13 and 15 and Kim signed off for a 77 gross and 68 net to take the event by six shots.
The morning winner was Mike Robson who carded 74 gross and net which included back to back birdies on the 15th and 16th. Morning runner up went to Max Hibbert on 75 and third George Liu on 78 net. Best gross for the morning went to the ever in form Adam Smith with 80 gross.
The afternoon runner up was Shaheen Butt who also had a great round on 74net which included 6 net birdies. Third place went to Roy Holmes on 76 after a scorecard count back. Afternoon gross was claimed by Sinar Suraj on 80 gross.
The fourth & fifth Orient Travel – Malaysia Truly Asia Monthly Medal will take place on Friday 12th & 26th February 2016 with a place in the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters Pro-am presented by Shurooq up for grabs for the winners.
