SUMMER GOLF SOCIETY LEAGUE FINAL
(Sharjah, UAE) – After the completion of the Semi Finals in the Summer Golf Society League only two teams can go forward to the Final on Saturday 26th September. The Semi Final matches were the closes matches to date, with both matches going the full length and even included extra holes.
The DIGS and Sport 360 had a incredible match over 19 holes with both teams leading at different stages but it came down to a 6 foot putt holed by Rory Thomson of Sport360 to keep the match alive on the 18th hole. The match then went down the first hole again were both Wesley Burke and Paul Murnaghan made par fours and Jon Gould of Sport360 narrowly missed out on a par 4 to keep the match alive, DIGS now head to the finals.
In the other Semi Final there was another great battle between Sport2Business and Indian Ex-pats. The duo of A.E Ravi and Abdul Moiz Khan managed to get an early lead of 2 up on the team of Randy Mohammed and Joerg Muller. With the lead going back to either side in the middle of the round it came to the last hole all square.
Sport2Business had two great shots into the green and left themselves a two putt from 7 foot to take the game, after A.E Ravi shaved the hole for five, which Indian Ex-pat conceded.
The final will host the DIGS versus Sport2Business and the 3rd place play off will host Indian Ex-pats and Sport360.
