Ashock Ahuja Wins September Mashreq Medal

(Dubai, UAE) – Congratulations to Ashok Ahuja, winner of the September edition of the Mashreq Medal. Ashok secured a 2 shot victory in the A Division and for the medal overall. Conditions were tough on the day as the wind blew and the sand swept across the Majlis fairways but Ashok battled on to post a superb 2 under par net 70.

Runner-up in the A Division (Handicap 0-15) with a level par net 72 was Jignesh Sangani. Sangani scored the better back 9 to force Tom Luig in to third place. The best gross score on the day was won by our Junior Elite Academy Member Bradley Mogire who posted a respectable 5 over par 77.

In the B Division (Handicap 16-28) Mark Baxter claimed first prize after scoring net 77. Young Baxter scored better on the back 9 holes than runner-up David Moody, also scoring a net 77. A further 2 shots adrift and claiming third place was Patrick Mulligan who scored a net 79.
